Shirley C. Laguna
January 3, 1948 – February 2, 2021
Shirley C. Laguna, 73, of Decatur, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born January 3, 1948 in Decatur, IN, she was a daughter of the late Anisceto and Mercedes Villagomez. Shirley was employed with General Electric in Decatur for over 10 years, the cafeteria at St. Joe Hospital for nearly two years, and most recently, Dean Foods in Decatur, for over 15 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Decatur, IN. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and movies full of adventure and action. She was a loving, caring, and giving person who cared about family and friends. She will always be remembered and never forgotten. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Nicole, Michelle, and Tina Laguna, all of Fort Wayne; brothers, Roy and Jerry Villagomez, both of Decatur, IN; sisters, Isabelle Lehrman of Monroeville, IN, Alice “Lee” Escamilla of Fort Wayne, and Rosemarie Villagomez of Decatur, IN. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Medrano. Private Services will be held by the family. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Michelle Laguna.
