Stanley T. Hines, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born to the late Harry E. and Helene M. (Starke) Hines on February 1, 1956, in Fort Wayne. Stan loved coaxing bluebirds to nest in his yard. He enjoyed helping friends and neighbors with home projects, playing with his dog, Ricky, gardening, and cooking. Everyone loved Uncle Stan's cookies he baked. Stan retired from Trinity Lutheran Church and Home Depot.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary (Friedrich) Hines; brothers, Randy (Anna) and Doug Hines; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Soest (9909 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne, IN 46816) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819) on Friday, September 7, 2018. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
