Stephen Paul Grisafo Jr. 41, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at his home August 5, 2026. He was born in Peru, Indiana, on March 3, 1985. Steve graduated from Norwell High School in 2004 and earned his Culinary Arts Degree.
Steve was a very loving and caring man. He loved everyone, especially his family, always checking in on loved ones and telling stories about his life in Vegas. Steve enjoyed trips to Firekeepers Casino with his mother as he usually came back a winner even if it was just a few dollars. He also enjoyed going to Mackinaw with his father, where he also loved playing slot machines as well as some fine dining. Steve went to Culinary School in Vegas, where he became a very talented chef. While cooking was his dream at the age of 26, he stopped his long-life passion of being a chef due to brain cancer. As we all know, Steve is incredibly strong-willed. He overcame this battle with cancer and those closest to him knew he never once complained. He just kept moving forward. Steve is a God-Fearing man and is sitting with Jesus now looking down upon us watching us celebrate him as he would want us to. As we lay you to rest, we close our eyes and all we can hear is your undeniable laugh.
Steve is survived by his mother, Julie Meneffee of Fort Wayne, IN; father, Stephen P. (Min) Grisafo of South Whitley, IN; siblings, Keith Eldridge, Angie (Sheldon) Buneta, Dustin (Leann) Menefee, both of Fort Wayne IN; Anthony (Mackenzie) Grisafo of Ossian, IN; paternal grandfather, Chuck Warran of Mississippi; 5 nieces; and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ella Warran; and maternal grandfather, Jim Beiter.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation two hours prior.
