STEVEN L. EDDINGTON, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on Oct. 24, 1947, in Fort Wayne. He served in the Navy and was an independent truck driver, retiring in 2007. Surviving are his wife, Mary Eddington of Fort Wayne; three sons, Mark Eddington of Florida, Michael (Kendra) Mahathy and Scott (Jamie) Mahathy, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Robbie Eddington of Arizona of Sam Fox of Fort Wayne; one sister, Norma Fox of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Brittney and Jaustin Alexander Mahathy; and one grandchild due in January. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene Eddington; and one sister, Carolyn. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service. At the request of Steven, cremation will follow service.
