Steven Claude McDaniel, 64, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1960 to Alfred L. McDaniel Jr. and Marian Alice Herald. Steven was a gifted machine operator and maintenance technician. He excelled at bending and inductive Braze. Steven worked for Whitley Products, Ap Parts, National Tube Form, Nelson Global, and Samson Exhaust over the past 46 years. He enjoyed board games, making candy, playing the ukulele, and spending time with family.
Steven is survived by his son, Derik (Amy) McDaniel; two grandsons, Lionidas and Alixander McDaniel; and six siblings, Lois Bullard, Kathy McDaniel, Robin McDaniel Hooser, Alfred L. McDaniel III, Patrick McDaniel, and Lee Fennimore. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kenneth John McDaniel. There will be a Celebration of Life held at 2:00 pm on June 29, 2025 at Steven’s home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
