OBITUARY

Susan Elizabeth Hursh

August 31, 1968September 13, 2020

Susan Elizabeth Hursh, 52, passed away on September 13, 2020. She was born in Lima, OH on August 31, 1968, the daughter of Thomas Teel Sr., and Floretta Teel-Miller.

Susan graduated from Snider High School in 1986, she went on to graduate from Purdue University of Ft. Wayne in 1988 with an Associates Degree.

Susan was most recently employed at Wal Mart on Maysville Rd.

Susan enjoyed visiting the ocean and spending time on the beach. In her spare time she liked gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved her children, family, friends and her beloved dog, Lucy.

She will be remembered as a fun loving person with an upbeat personality that would do anything for anyone. Susan never met a stranger.

Surviving are her daughter, Madison Hursh; mother, Floretta Teel-Miller; siblings, Barbara (Tony) Bagent, Thomas (Tish) Teel D.D.S.; and two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Teel Sr., and son, Nicholas Hursh.

A private family service will be held due to the current pandemic.

In lieu of flowers Sue would want memorial contributions to be made to nonprofits and organizations involved with substance use treatment, recovery and mental health. This was something Sue felt passionate about after losing her son, Nick in 2019.

Some suggestions are, Betty Ford Center, Shatterproof, SAMHSA, or Mental Health America.

Sue was one of the best coworkers I've ever had the chance to work with. She was great at her job, she was kind to everyone around her. Sue could make everyone around her smile and laugh. She was like a work mom, she took care of people around them showing them better ways to do things, and helping people in times of need. I will definitely miss you Sue rest in peace.

Sue you were always one to stay in high spirits. My heart dropped...the memories of the times we worked together started flowing. I’ll never forget on those stressful work days when I’d bring you a Diet Pepsi and say “let’s go on break, this all can wait.”...You’d work your ass off Sue. I am happy to have met such a wonderful person. You are already missed. Rest easy Sue and don’t forget to take your breaks up there.

Sue was a wonderful neighbor and so welcoming when we first came to the neighborhood. So friendly and always out taking care of her flowers, with sweet little Lucy by her side💗. I recall many great talks we had! I was so sad to hear about her and will always remember those talks. She will be greatly missed and it won’t be the same without her. Prayers for her daughter and the rest of the family!! I pray you find peace and comfort in your memories and feel God’s presence💞
