SYLVIA A. DEAN, 80, departed this life and was taken to Heaven by Angels on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. Born Oct. 11, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she graduated Bethlehem Lutheran and Concordia Lutheran High School. A lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she was employed 13 years in printing services at F.W.C.S., retiring in 1999. The daughter of Paul and Luella Geiger, her passions included camping, gardening, flowers, and handmade crafts. She was a generous and selfless person. Surviving are sisters, Marilyn Wilson and Jan Heminger; three children, Kevin Dean, Connie Severson, and Kerry Dean; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman Dean, in 1978. Service is 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, with Pastor Steve Ensley officiating, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time.
