Teresa Ann Koch

TERESA KOCH, 83, passed away Wednesday, Jan 10th, 2024, in Ft. Wayne, IN. Born Nov 27, 1940, in New Haven, IN, she was the daughter of Jesse and Pauline Butt. After graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1959, she met her future husband of 62 years, Mike Koch, while he attended Indiana Tech. Teresa and Mike married in 1960 and had four sons. While Mike started a career with Hagerman Construction, Teresa spent her days raising their four children and many grandchildren to follow. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her sisters Mary, Rita and Rosie, her brother Jim as well as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Teresa never met a stranger and enjoyed conversation with anyone that would oblige. She was happiest during gatherings, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Teresa is survived by her sons, Michael Koch of Fishers, IN, Paul (BG) Koch of Plantation, FL, and Stephen (Toni) Koch of Ft. Wayne; daughter-in-law, Beth Koch of Hoagland, IN; grandchildren, Keith, Thomas, Tracy, Emily, Kaleigh, Korey, Jesse, Darcy, Bodhi, and Ranger; and sister, Rita (Ron) Presdorf of Saline, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike and son, James. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan 18, 2024, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1501 E. Wallen Road, Ft. Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, Jan 17, 2024, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Ft. Wayne. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic, or the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter.
