Terry Leon Holston, passed peacefully on New Year’s Day at home, He left behind a legacy of creativity, craftsmanship, music, and deep devotion to the things he loved.
Terry was a remarkably gifted and talented artist whose creativity found expression in many forms. For many years, he owned and operated a body shop where he specialized in custom, artistic automotive paint work. His eye for detail, color, and form set his work apart. Later in life, he brought that same precision and ingenuity to his career as a mold maker, crafting parts for automobiles and airplanes, work that reflected both his technical brilliance and his respect for engineering.
Music was a lifelong passion. Terry was an avid karaoke singer and guitar player, with a particular fondness for The Eagles. Friends and family often remarked on his striking vocal likeness to Don Henley, a compliment he wore with quiet pride. Music was not a performance for Terry. It was a form of joy and expression that came straight from the heart.
Terry was deeply engaged in the communities that reflected his interests. He was a charter member of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club, where his love of cars and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts thrived. He was also a member of the Flying Circuits Model Airplane Club and spent countless hours working on jets, both his own and those of others, always willing to lend his skill and time.
In his quieter moments, Terry could be found working on his various cars, immersed in projects that combined mechanics and artistry. He also loved watching NASCAR racing, enjoying the speed, strategy, and engineering that mirrored his own passions.
Terry is survived by his partner, Angela Sprague. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Lonnie Holston. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Amy Holston Hesting (Chad Hesting), Tina Siefert (William Siefert), and Erin Holston Singh (Sanjay Singh). He leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Walter Hesting, Gabriel Hesting, Henry Siefert, Adan Singh, and Emmylou Singh.
Terry’s life was marked by creativity, curiosity, and a steady dedication to the crafts he loved. His legacy lives on in the art he created, the machines he shaped, the music he shared, and the many lives touched by his generosity of skill and spirit.
