Thelma L. Bechtol, 95, of Fort Wayne, went Home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. She was born to the late Clarence A. and Matilda (Broeking) Draper on September 22, 1924 in Fort Wayne. A life-long resident of Fort Wayne, except from 1967 through the early 90's Thelma and her late husband, Roland, lived in LaPorte, IN. Thelma retired from LaPorte Herald Argus Newspaper in 1988. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and crafting.
Thelma is survived by children, Susan Krinn and Roger (Christi) Bechtol; granddaughter, Sarah (Kenneth) Holmes; and great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Bradley, and Addison Holmes. Along with her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Bechtol; grandson, Matthew Bechtol; and brother, Howard Draper.
A private graveside service was held. Thelma's final resting place is Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Chapel.
