Theresa Irene (Perry) Hoevel, 97, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne on September 14, 1929, Theresa retired from L. S. Ayres. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children Morris (Barbara) Hoevel of Okemos, Michigan, Sharon Hoevel of Phoenix, Arizona, Carolyn (Jeff) White of Fort Wayne, and Kurt (Jody) Hoevel of New Haven; six grandchildren, Corey Goodman, Ashley Thurber, Brad Hoevel, Dan (Emily) Hoevel, Angela Hoevel, and Anthony Hoevel; four great-grandchildren, Kaidyn, Kylie, Khloey, and Claire. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jerome Hoevel, parents Roland & Victoria Perry, and brother, Robert.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held at 11:00 AM, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Immediately following, a burial will occur at Fort Wayne Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in her honor to Stillwater Hospice or Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
