Theresa Marie Kennedy

Theresa (née. McCarthy) Kennedy, 90, passed away on April 4, 2026. Born the daughter to the late Robert and Theresa (née. Takas) McCarthy on October 30, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, Theresa was beautiful, kind, and loving.

She was a graduate of Niles High School. In her free time, Theresa enjoyed gardening and bird watching – especially the hummingbirds that came to her feeder. Her kindness and generosity shone through her donations to many charities such as Father Flanagan’s Boystown and many Indian Schools. She loved receiving special cards and phone calls from all the children. Beyond all else, Theresa cherished all the moments she spent with her family. A special memory held dear are the times spent shopping and going out to eat some cheeseburgers with her granddaughter, Heather.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Julie (Thomas) Marianowski of Hudson, Florida; granddaughter, Heather Marianowski of Fort Wayne; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kennedy; parents, Robert and Theresa McCarthy; and siblings, Pat, Jack, Robert, Dorothy, Eileen, Patsy, and Victoria.
