Theresa Joan Marie Raypole

Terry was born on June 12, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Jeanne Bernardin and Richard Gossard. She spent her life in Fort Wayne, where she built deep roots in her family and community.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Ed Fox; her sons Russell (Deb) Skelly of Bakersfield, California, Dale Raypole of Irving, Texas, and Thomas Raypole (Amanda Cornett) of Fort Wayne, In, Edward Fox Jr of Bridgeport, Tx, Cory (Christina) Fox, Kimberly (Chad) Parker and her grandchildren Breanna Skelly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Damon Skelly of Bakersfield, California, and Kody (Victoria) Klotz of New Philadelphia, Ohio. She is also remembered by sisters Debra (Joe Bortz) Powless and Patricia (Mark) Rehard as well as many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by her infant son, James Michael Raypole (1987); her mother, Jeanne Bernardin; her father, Richard Gossard; her infant sister, Marie; her infant brother, Francis William Skelly; her sisters, Linda Skelly, Chris London, Rita Howard; and her former husband, Dale Raypole.

Terry loved gardening, and her yard was known as the star of the neighborhood. She took pride in every flower bed and plant, creating a space that was as vibrant and welcoming as she was. She was devoted to her cats and dogs and always had a soft spot for the stray cats in the area, making sure they were fed and cared for.

A funeral service for Terry’s life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, on 10:00 am at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home – Lakeside Park, located at 1140 Lake Avenue Fort Wayne, IN with Rev. Peter Cage officiating. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the family. Any remaining funds will be donated to a local animal shelter, in honor of Terry’s love for animals.
