Theresa A. Whitbey

Born in DeKalb County, Corunna, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late John and Arvilla (Sipe) Luttman. She was married to

George E. Whitbey on June 12, 1931. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1972. Theresa was employed by General Electric for

ten years, a bakery manager for Hohnhaus Bakery and a baker for White Swan for 21 years. She enjoyed sewing, word search

books, puzzles, playing games and spending time with her family. A long time member of North Highland Church of Christ, where

she was active for many years in the ladies groups and as a Sunday greeter. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Lenora Bair (Eugene) of

Holland, Michigan and Ruthanne Smith (Richard H. , deceased) of Fort Wayne, five grandchildren who were so blessed in having her as their Grandma and role model, Tom Bair (Janet), Rick Smith (Jene'), Deborah DeJonge (Don), Cheryl Berger (Brent) and Kevin Bair (Amy), 11 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. Special nephew and nieces: Richard Walker, Sharon Luther (Don), Glenda Weaver and Pam Walker. She was also proceeded in death by her two sisters: Olga Luttman and Nova Walker. Funeral Service is at 12 noon on Friday, May 10, 2013 at North Highlands Church of Christ with visitation two hours prior at the church. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.
