Thomas Clair Baker, 70, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on October 24, 2026. He was born July 13, 1956, in North Hornell, New York to Zane Wesley Baker and Marilyn June (Woolever) Baker. Thomas had worked as an electrical engineer until his retirement in 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his wife of nearly half a century of marriage, Susan Baker. Thomas is also survived by his children, Michael (Karen) Baker, David (Elizabeth) Baker, Daniel (Andrea) Baker, and Mary Grace (Tom) Brown; his grandchildren, Jada (Graham), Lydia (Zach), Josiah, Micah, Isaiah, Luke, Penny, Ezekiel, Titus, Obadiah, Annie, Lagodian, Judah, Noah, Ella, Ana, and Isaiah; his great grandchildren, Henry and Edmund; and his brother Wesley (Rebecca) Baker.
A private family gathering was held for Thomas. He is laid to rest at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Please give memorial contributions to Smith Academy for Excellence.
