Thomas A. “Tom” Gross, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was born on October 23, 1926 in Whitley County to the late Clarence and Hazel (Marker) Gross. He retired from the Kroger Company and also as the owner and operator of Tom Gross Landscaping. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 241, the Masonic Lodge, and was a retired teamster. Surviving family include his wife, Doris Gross; son, Steven (Barbara) Gross, daughter, Deborah (Gary) Threet; 3 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and sister, Trella Gause. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his daughter, Cynthia Krick. A funeral service will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens.
