Thomas Wayne Hart

Thomas Wayne Hart, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on March 28, 2018. He was born to the late Christopher and Elizabeth (Tomkinson) Hart on August 10, 1925. Thomas graduated from South Side High School in 1943. He served in the Navy and was discharged in April 1946. He retired from Fruehauf Trailer as Terminal Manager in 1987. Thomas married Phyllis Joan Jacobs on December 2, 1950. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. Thomas is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Hart, and daughters, Pemila (Mark) Fowler, Betsy (Ted) Gilliom, Susan Frisch, and Sally Hart. Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his three sisters. Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 2nd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bohn Chapel at Lindenwood Cemetery (2324 W Main St, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808) with visitation one hour prior. Service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Kathleen W. Haller. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity English Lutheran Church or The Salvation Army.
