Thomas Wayne Meyers, 66, of Hoagland, IN passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN. He was born November 12, 1956 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Alvin and Carmela Meyers. Tom graduated from Heritage High School in Monroeville, IN. He retired in 2018 and was a delivery driver for Pro Strip in Fort Wayne. Tom also was employed at Phelps Dodge and Alconex.
Tom was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Tigers baseball, and Bears and Colts football. Tom’s family and friends will miss his sense of humor and his daily breakfast visits to Nine Mile Restaurant.
He is survived by his siblings, Linda (Greg) Hogge of Hoagland, IN; Michele (Doug) Perkins of New Haven, IN; aunt, Nadine Meyers; nieces and nephews, Greg (Regina) Hogge II, Christopher Hogge, Madison (Adam) Schaffer, Kiersten (Adam) Smith, and Ryan (Marissa) Perkins.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 12, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, August 11, 2023 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hoagland EMS or Hoagland Area Advancement Association (Hoagland Youth League).
