Tom attended Central High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps after which he would spend his career as an auto mechanic with numerous auto dealerships in the Fort Wayne area.
He was passionate about working on cars, loved motorcycles, collecting diecast cars, sitting outside on nice days with his son, Richard, and spending time with his cat, Charlie.
Tom is survived by his children, Richard (Doreen) Steup Sr., Terry (Kellie) Steup, Sheri (Daniel) Boyko, Gerald Steup, Michael Steup, Brian Steup, Tracy Steup and Kathleen Clouse; 28 grandkids; and 32 great-grandkids. He was predeceased by siblings, John Steup, Bill Steup, Donald Steup, and Francis Beghtel.
Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Interment at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
