Tommy… my little brother… I miss you every day. Your artistic and musical talent amazed me. And you had such a big heart. Thank you so much for giving my family and me so many wonderful memories. Your niece and nephew still talk about you and all your toys. And neither one will give up their blankie :)  We are all very blessed to have known your wonderful joy and thoughtfulness. You left us way too soon.

Judy, I know it's been hard on you, losing Tommy. I can't express the sorrow I felt when I heard about his death. God in His infinite mercy will see that he will be with Him. I wish I had known Tommy more than I did, he was a very special young man, I did not see him very often, but the few times I did, he seemed to be a very well adjusted young man. I cannot remember when it was the last time I saw him, but it's been a long, long time, and I guess we loose track of time and they're all grown up.

I went to St. Therese with Tom in the 1st grade. I also went to middle School with Tom. I was in a few classes with him. Tom had alot of brains, he'd get his school work done ahead of time. I would find him drawing awesome pictures. He had a great sense of humor and alot of positive energy, alot of People liked Tom. He was a unique and fun Person to be around. I haven't seen him in years, a friend of mine told me Tom died and it kind of hit me. I wanted to share some nice memories.

To the family of Thomas Josh Tomlinson, With our most deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. We lost our 22 year old son, Joshua David, in Sept. 2007. Our hearts broke when we heard about your, Thomas Josh. You continue to be in our thoughts & in our prayers. We are in a group called, The Compassionate Friends, for parents who have lost children. (The group is for parents who have lost a child, siblings who have lost a brother or sister & grandparents who have had a grandchild die) Erins House would be more appropriate for younger siblings. At the meetings we share our experiences resulting from our child's death, and how we deal with those experiences. The chance to talk and share and listen is so important in the grieving process. If you ever are interested in attending, there is no time frame in which to start coming. Come when you think you are ready to meet others who understand how you feel. There is a chapter in Fort Wayne on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Meeting address: First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St. Room 303. If we are like flowers, then we pack our deeds, intelligence and experiences from one life into seeds from which our next life will blossom. It has been an honor to share the same garden with this beautiful flower.  Hopefully we will be planted close to one another again when the next Spring dawns upon us.  I love you, Tom.  I will never forget how brilliantly your petals sparkled in the eyes of my soul.

I will always remember our times going out for a smoke (or smokes depending on the day) and conversations both good and bad from both directions at Deister. I thank you for lending an ear and was honored to do the same. You are and always will be a like a bother to me. My heart and prayers go out to the family at this very difficult time. I will miss you my friend and look forward to when we can meet again.

Tommy gave me a white stuffed bear for Christmas many years ago which I had named "Tommy-Bear". I have kept it because it was so special to me because he knew how much I loved bears, and I didn't see him often. Once in a while we would run into each other and I always enjoyed our conversation. He was so easy to talk to; so warm; and yes....always had on that beautiful smile!

As I think back about our childhood.  It seems like it was just yesterday we were all playing in your yard, riding big wheels down the driveway, and blaming Tommy if we broke something. Then we had to grow up and Tommy eventually got us back for those days.  I never thought I would have to face losing a childhood friend so soon.  R.I.P Tommy. We know you'll be watching over all of us to make sure we behave.

It has been quite a while since i last saw Tom and am saddened that I will never have the opportunity to see his
