Timothy Lee Topp

Tim was born on April 15, 1957 to James and Helen Topp in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After high school Tim went on to work a variety of labor jobs before ultimately owning and operating his own asphalt company, Topp Asphalt & Paving, Inc.

In 1978, Tim met Joi Topp (Wilhelm) while dancing up a storm at a wedding reception and were married in 1980. Tim and Joi went on to have two children, Mandy Kopp (Topp) and James Topp.

Tim was fun-loving, goofy, and genuine. He loved his family and everyone he met felt like a friend. He had an infectious laugh and smile. Always had a way of making you feel like the most important person during any time spent with him. He was the BEST grandpa to four beautiful grandchildren - his eyes would light up when they were with him. Tim was always excited to try something new. He loved to go camping, ride his four wheeler, play golf, work in his shop, and hangout with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Joi Topp (Wilhelm), mother Helen Topp, sister Kathy Luke Bishop (Topp), sister Lisa Stephens, brother Dan Topp, daughter Mandy (Greg) Kopp, and son James (Hollie) Topp, as well as, four grandchildren - Parker and Kenzie Kopp and Ava and Jayce Topp.

Tim was preceded in death by his father James “Jim” Topp, sister, Rhonda Tillman (Topp). Nephew, Jamey Tillman, and nephew Chad Tillman.

Funeral Service will be 6pm Thursday April 27, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation from 2pm until 6pm Thursday at the funeral home.
