Born January 8, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Vernon "Skipper" and Beatrice Johnson, she graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in History.
After working at the university, she became a stay-at-home Mom volunteering at various historical sites. She then worked in staffing helping people find work and finally, Aboite Township, helping residents in need. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Sara) Miller of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Nora, Mae, and Mitchell Miller and sister, Veryl (Thomas) Lord of Palm Desert, CA., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her husband Roger Kent Miller.
Funeral service, 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with calling one hour prior at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson. Blvd., Ft. Wayne, IN.
Calling also Monday, October 27, 2025 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Rd. Burial In Greenlawn Memorial Park.
