Vicki’s life was marked by her passion to explore, learn and help others. One of her favorite pastimes from a very early age was reading. According to family lore, she read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica by the time she finished 4th grade. She also won a county-wide spelling bee championship in 6th grade.
After graduating from Manchester College, she and her husband Charles moved to Davenport, Iowa so she could pursue a degree in Chiropractic Medicine. Eventually, Charles joined her in her academic pursuits, and they graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in the late ‘70’s. Afterward, they returned to the North Manchester and Fort Wayne areas to practice.
Vicki was a lifelong advocate of natural health, and her pursuits in Chiropractic eventually led her to an interest in Neurofeedback. She earned her Diplomate in Neurofeedback, and she and Charles have offered Neurofeedback for many years now from their practice, Fort Wayne Neurofeedback, helping countless clients with a variety of conditions up to the present day.
Vicki was a member of the handbell choir at the Manchester Church of the Brethren, and in more recent years at the Plymouth Congregational Church; her time spent with friends at choir practices, rehearsals and performances was a source of great joy to her. She really loved the music, camaraderie and the challenge of learning a new musical piece.
Vicki was also an active, long-time member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment. Over the past 35 years, she has attended numerous A.R.E. seminars and travelled with the organization twice to the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks, and finally, Machu Picchu, Peru. She is held dear in our hearts and will be missed by all those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kelsey (Roanoke, IN), their treasured greyhound Kiko and three children: Penny Kelsey (North Manchester, IN), Marianne Kelsey (Greensboro, NC), and Chester Kelsey (North Manchester, IN), and two beloved grandsons, Levi Chinander (Colorado Springs, CO) and Hayden Kelsey (North Manchester, IN). She is also survived by her brother Robin (Deborah) Bollinger (LaGrange, IN), and nieces & nephew Zac (Christy) Bollinger (LaGrange, IN), Hilary (Tim) Christiner (LaGrange, IN) and Laura (Brian Wilson) Bollinger (Fort Wayne, IN), as well as great-nieces and nephews Kane, Colt and Kendyl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lois Bollinger.
A memorial service in Vicki’s memory will be announced at a later date.
