Virginia Ann Badger Brown (nee Scott), 94, was called home to rest in the arms of her Redeemer, on August 27, 2026.
Virginia was born in Armada, MI on March 21, 1932. She was the youngest daughter of the late Edwin and Blanche (Ulmer) Scott of South Whitley, IN. Virginia worked as a car hop at Frank Gardner’s Drive-In before working as a secretary at the General Electric Company. She worked at Lincoln National Life and retired after 22 years; was a Docent for the Lincoln Museum until it’s closing in 2008. After retirement, she found her dream job working as a part-time receptionist at the Pizza Hut Corporate office in Fort Wayne for 20 years, retiring in 2014. Dick Freeland, Dave Bobilya, and her Pizza Hut family were very special to her. Virginia was also a very dedicated volunteer at InAsMuch Ministries for over 25 years.
She married Roy J. Badger on August 13, 1950, and they were wed for 51 years until his passing in December 2001. In April of 2009 she married William H. (Bill) Brown of Decatur, IN. They enjoyed nearly 10 years together before his passing in 2019.
Virginia is survived by her children, Patti (Ron) Murzyn, Susan (Hartley) McLeod both of Fort Wayne, IN, Brian (LaNora) Badger Houston, TX, and Scott (Michelle) Badger of Hamilton, IN; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Kneller of AZ, and Marjorie Kite of South Whitley; and two nephews, Mark Kite and David Kneller.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with visitation one hour prior.
