Virginia Evans, 98, passed away Saturday morning, July 25, 2026, at home. She was born December 24, 1927, in Orland, IN to Floyd 0. and Lissie (Fair) Stayner. She graduated from Orland High School in 1946. She married Lee Evans in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1978. She celebrated 75 years of being a member and past president of Orland American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #423 and served as the past president. She loved to play cards, do puzzles and read.
She is survived by a daughter, Ginger Clifton, of LaOtto, IN; and a son, Ronald Evans (Carolyn) of Buena Park, CA; granddaughters, Tracie (James) Boyd, and Lori (Jeff) Noll, great-grandchildren, Zachary (Anna) Noll, Logan (Rayna) Boyd and Brooke Boyd; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Truran, of Detroit, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Allison, Leland, Wardell and Basil Stayner;sister, Joan Penix; and a great-grandson.
Burial will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, IN.
