WALID ANEES NADROUS, fell asleep in the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2022. Born on February 6, 1961 in Lattakia, Syria, Walid immigrated to the United States in 1992. While in Syria, Walid graduated medical school and was a practicing physician in the Army. He was a member of Saint John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
Walid is survived by his wife of 28 years, Salma; daughter, Meriana; son, Anees; sisters, Suha and Nuha; brother, Fareed; and a large extended family including many sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anees and Shahira and a brother-in-law, Yacoub.
From medical school overseas, to working in various health care capacities in the United States, he was known for his extraordinary ability to connect with patients with warmth and humor.
He was a kind, generous man with a positive spirit and loving heart. Walid was a devoted husband and father who loved his family dearly. His memory will be in our hearts forever.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10 am, at Saint John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 402 Badiac Road. Visitation is from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the church, and the Trisagion Memorial Prayers will take place at 6:45 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
