WANDA M. SIMMONS, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015. Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late George and Bernice Till. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bridge, knitting and was a big hockey fan. She is survived by her sons, William Simmons Jr. and Donald J. Simmons; daughters, Juanita Miller and Marjorie Haecker; brother, George B. Till; 42 grandchildren; and a copious amount of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Simmons Sr.; brothers, Eugene and Donald; sisters, Helen and Virginia; daughter, Mary Jane Goff; and granddaughter, Lisa Cole. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 515 Barthohld St., with calling one hour prior. Arrangements by C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home.
