Wanda had built a community of friends at the Fort Wayne Senior Center that she frequented. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading, camping, golfing and bowling. Wanda was a loved member of The River Church. She was an avid collector of angel figurines. Wanda enjoyed making Christmas candies of all varieties, a memory that will be cherished by her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her husband, Richard, whom she spent 67 years of marriage with before his passing.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Greg) Hoffman, David (Lorraine) Smith and Steven (Kathleen) Smith; grandchildren, Angela Hoffman, Joshua Smith, Stephanie Ellis, Elizabeth Smith, Ashley Bell, Stuart Smith, Kyle Smith, and Katelyn Zuber; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smith; siblings, Wanita Kelley, Jack Wilkinson, and Charlotte Kelley.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 7, 2026 with calling one hour prior at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 6 also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Ft. Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice or Englewood Health and Rehab.
