Wayne Merle Fike, 87, passed away October 26, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born March 26,1937 in Kendallville, IN, the son of Howard and Ruth Fike. He was a U.S. Korean War Navy Veteran. Wayne worked at Dana Corporation for 32.5 years and retired in 2000.
He is survived by his fiancé, Wanda Schultz; children, Chris (Tammie) Fike, Catherine (Matt) Halferty, and Carla Jo Gayheart; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Wayne is also survived by a son-in-law, Russell Green.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Orphia Ann Fike; son, Larry Wayne Fike; daughter, Cheryl A. Green; three sisters and one brother.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moller Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5-8 pm Friday, November 1, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley Park, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Committal and Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery.
