

William was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on December 25, 1944, to Wasyl and Alexandra Fedoriw. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York, where he built the foundation of a life devoted to family, community, and service.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, William lived a life full of dedication and compassion. He graduated from Eastern District High School in Brooklyn and continued his education at the City College of New York, New York University, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
His professional journey began in civil engineering, but he found his true calling in medicine. For over thirty years, he cared deeply for his pediatric patients in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana, earning the trust and admiration of countless families.
William proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972 aboard the USS Argonaut. His service was a testament to his unwavering commitment to duty and honor.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Fedoriw; his children, Natalka Fedoriw (Steve Schwieterman) and Wasyl Fedoriw (Alexis Alpha); his grandson, Luke Schwieterman; his brother-in-law, Alexander Kosenko; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wasyl and Alexandra, and his brother, George.
Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating William’s life. The Funeral Services will be held at Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, 3535 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana, at 11:00 AM on August 9, 2025, with visitation two hours prior to the service from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
William will be laid to rest at Saint Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, 280 Main St, South Bound Brook, NJ 08880.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, 3535 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
