William C. “Hillbilly” Day, 78, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. He was born on November 10, 1936 to the late Chester S. and Mary F. (Meyers) Day. He retired from Super-Valu after 43 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed fishing, his dogs, the lottery, friends, and family dinners on Sunday. Surviving family include his children, Lori (Douglas) Weddle, Bubby (Marla) Day, Carla (Jimi) Staton, Billy (Laurie) Day; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation starting at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
