William (Bill) J. Gephart, Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at his home surrounded by family at the age of 65. Bill was born to the late William Sr. and LaDonna Gephart of Yoder, IN. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Ellen and his children, Stacy (Brian) Richardson, DeAnna (Steve) Koons, Pamela (Nick) Zehr, William (Therese) Gephart III, Elizabeth (Austin) Fischer, and Michael Gephart. He will also be dearly missed by his 18 grandchildren: Justin, Brenden, Nathan, Tyler, Camren, Landon, Logan, Tanner, William IV, Maxwell, Breana, Waylon, Calvin, Charlotte, Annistyn, Preslie, Lincoln and one on the way. He is also survived by his four siblings: Tim (Teresa) Gephart, Kenny (Cheryl) Gephart, Kathy (Brent) Leininger, and Sondra (William) Federspiel; and countless nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bill shared his faith and love to all that knew him. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed sharing family memories and attending his children and grandchildren’s many activities and athletic events. Bill was that strong leader that everyone knew and loved.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. A rosary service for William will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN followed by visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
