William W. Holtzberg Jr., age 52, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Encountering Will in a public setting, you would think he was shy, quiet, and an introvert; Will was anything but that. When he was around family and friends, it was clear to all just how much he loved to share life with those he loved. Mountain Dew in hand, Will invested so much time observing and listening to those around him to build deep connections and learn how to better care for others. Sometimes without them even knowing it.
One of the amazing things about Will is that he influenced people without even trying. He taught his son, Austin, all about baseball and sports and was at every single one of his baseball games cheering him on. Will continued to cheer Austin on with every achievement he has had in life. He taught his son, Sean, about his love for computers and technology. Sean is now thriving in a career with computer sciences and loves to share his knowledge to help out others, just like Will did. He taught his daughter, Chelsea, that she was worth a lot more than what anyone else thought or said about her. He taught her how to love and care for others deeply and how much a well thought out gift can brighten someone's day. Most of all, he taught his wife, Jean, what it felt like to be 100% loved and accepted. Not a day went by that he didn't tell her "I love you" or show his appreciation for how much she meant to him. Seeing Will and Jean together, it was obvious to everyone how deep their love for one another is. Will was lovingly known as "Bapapa" to his grandkids, and their love for each other was very obvious. He would light up the second they walked into the room and instantly jump into playing and laughing.
Will is survived by his loving wife, Jean; children, Sean, Austin, and Chelsea; grandchildren, Sullivan, Franklin and Corbin; mother, Anita; and fur babies, Steve and Turk.
There are no words to describe how much Will is going to be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of truly knowing him. His memory and love will live on in all of us as we live our lives like he taught us!
