

Bill was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 8, 1945. He graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1963.
Bill served his country through the Navy Reserve in the Vietnam War. He worked as a radio operator on the USS Sproston which was deployed to the South Pacific.
Upon return, Bill made West St. Paul, Minnesota his home. He worked as a transit operator for Metro Transit Authority in Minneapolis/St. Paul for over 40 years. He was an avid rail fan, traveling all over the Midwest to see steam locomotives, visit rail museums and restored station houses. He enjoyed watching movies and had an extensive Blu-ray collection, numbering in the hundreds. He was a big sports fan, especially the Minnesota teams: Vikings, Timberwolves, Twins and Minnesota Wild hockey team.
A kind and loving father and brother, Bill is survived by son, Nicholas (Nick) Atchison, Rice Lake, WI, sister, Jean Tipton, Naples, FL, dear friend Pam Dean and his beloved dog, Rudy.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Maxine (Crow) Kingsbury.
