Wilma K. Scoby, 94, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1931, a daughter of the late William H. and Edith P. (Francies) Bartels. Wilma was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Roanoke for many years and devoted her life to the church. She would be the first person there to greet you and the first person to volunteer with anything related to church. Wilma also had a passion for gardening and anything for her family. She is survived by her son, David (Donita Consbruck) Scoby; daughter-in-law, Diana (Randy) Fry; grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, and Sara; and many great-grandchildren. Wilma was also preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Scoby; and son, William "Bill" Scoby. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Glenwood cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Humane Fort Wayne.
