Woodroe Wallen, age 77, of Columbia City, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. Woodroe was born July 9, 1944 in Prestonsburg, KY to the late Newton and Betty Wallen. Woodroe was known for his love for the card game of Rook. He proudly served our country as a parachute rigger in the United States Army Airborn Division. He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Jeffrey) Sutton of Larwill, Ind., and Billie (Douglas) Hook of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Miller and Josie (Clifford) Clevenger, both of Pierceton, Ind., Laura Wallen, Betty Wallen, Braska Rose, and Tammy (Rex) Allen, all of Warsaw, Ind.; brother, William Wallen of South Whitley, Ind.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Woodroe was predeceased by his wife, Rubie Brown; brothers, Jack Wallen and Ernie Wallen; sisters, Donna Crum and Deloris Rose.
