To receive this news while deployed was disheartening. I had the pleasure and honor of working under Mr. Strickland during my time with RCS. We would often keep in touch and laugh about many humorous situations (including RMO)!
Mr. Strickland was a fair administrator, he supported his staff and allowed their professional capabilities to flurish, he believed in professional development of his staff and encouraged excellent. He challenged us all to do and be better with the overall emphasis on the Veteran and their needs. He stood behind his staff, supported them and encouraged issues to be handled at the lowest level. He did not entertain pettiness nor did he micromanage his staff because he knew the true meaning of leadership. He raised a new generation of Leaders- And we stand ready to fight!!!!

A true man's man. A veteran's veteran.  He will be missed by all who called him friend.

I enjoyed spending time with you Debra when Peter (Team Leader OKC Vet Center) and Aaron were in training.  I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are for you and the entire family.

Aaron was a gentleman in every sense of the word. I never heard a harsh word from him, even when he came to inspect us. He had a deep caring for veterans and also for RCS and everyone that worked at the Vet Centers. You have my deepest sympathy.

I had the pleasure of knowing Aaron through having my son Terren Carter. He was a very kind man and I so appreciate the words of wisdom he shared with Terren. He will be missed.

I worked with Aaron at both Oklahoma City Vet Center and then Houston Vet Center.  He was a great role model for us in RCS of how to treat others.  May God Bless his family during this time of loss.

It was a pleasure to have known Aaron and to work under his leadership. He was a strong man of integrity, who had wisdom to help Veterans and staff be all that we can be.  My sincere condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to the family during this time of loss.  It was an honor to work for Aaron from the beginning of my career with RCS until he moved-on in 2008.  I owe him a great deal and he will be missed.  Thanks for your service to this country Aaron.

Aaron helped me make the transition from Active Duty to a career with RCS and was a huge part of who I am today and living the dream and fulfilling my passion of helping Veterans as a career.  I started my career by having his former case load at the  Ft Worth Vet Center and heard many praises from the Veterans on a regular basis about Aaron.  I am deeply saddened by his loss and know he will be sorely missed.

Aaron cared deeply for the well-being of others. He was a mentor and a friend. He will be missed.

I work with Aaron for a short period of time and he was a very kind and soft spoken person.  He  always had a smile on his face.  He will be truly missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Aaron from the Houston Vet Center. He was a man of integrity with a passion for helping his fellow veterans. He was a respected leader who cared for his employees and inspired us to care as much as he did. He will be greatly missed. I also remember his love of the Philadelphia Eagles! My prayers are with his family for peace after their loss.

Aaron was a man of integrity, honesty, and, above all, compassion. May God grant him eternal peace, and may He bless his family and friends with strength during this most trying time.

Mr. Strickland was kind, professional, and cared for the veterans he served so proudly in the Veterans Affiars.  I was fortunate to work at the Shreveport Vet Center when he was the Deputy Regional Manager.  He will be missed.  Rest in Peace, Amigo!

I worked as a counselor for Mr. Strickland at the Shreveport Vet Center and I knew him to be a kind, helpful and compassionate man. He was also a great administrator who knew how to effective communicate with his employees and make them feel valued as team members.  My sincere condolences go out to his family.
