Abner was born on June 3rd, 1944 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Abner Louis Coxsey Sr., and Willie Mae Smith.
Abner grew up in Oklahoma until eventually moving to the Fort Worth area.
Abner held a career as a mechanic and worked on cars his entire life, with the last 20 years serving Tarrant County. He loved everything about cars and truly enjoyed working on them. Abner was a member of the Church of Christ and a devoted member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Abner was preceded in death by, Abner Louis Coxsey Sr., Willie Mae Smith Barks, Alma Faye Timmons-Coxsey, Shirley Mae Koffman-Coxsey, Robert “Bobo” Coxsey, Edward William Coxsey and Cynthia Kay Smith.
Abner is survived by, Carol Ann Davis, sister, Vicky Wells, sister, Robert Paul Coxsey, brother, Buddy Louis Coxsey, son, and 4 daughters, Tammy Adams, Lori Barrington, Dana Pearson, Cindy Schlager, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved very much.
