Addie Mae Simpson Dibley, 96, a loving mother and grandmother passed into heaven September 11, 2021. She was a homemaker and worked in the office at Sears and Montgomery Ward. A graveside service will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Pastor Greg Buckles will officiate.
Addie Dibley was born January 31, 1925 in Fannin County, Texas where she lived until marrying John Dibley, January 9, 1944 and moving to Fort Worth, where they reared their sons. She was a member of South Riverside Baptist Church, East Berry Street Baptist Church and Bethesda Baptist Church until her health prevented attendance. She was a Burleson resident for 37 years.
An excellent cook , she enjoyed baking desserts for family. Her potato chip sugar cookies, coke cake, custard, pecan cake and pies were family favorites. Addie enjoyed good health and continued baking until she was 95.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Dibley; her parents Bettie Francis Shields and Lev Richard Simpson; sisters Vera Clara Smith, Dora Faye Piland and brother L.R. Simpson, Jr.
She is survived by sons Johnny R. Dibley (Doris) and Larry J. Dibley (Dixie); grandchildren Jason Dibley, Brianne Tebay (Jerry), Bryan Dibley (Amory), and Keith Adams; great grandchildren Cooper, Addyson and Chayse Tebay, Aerin and Jai Dibley; sister Bobbie Jean Hohenberg and many nieces and nephews.
