Albert Clarence Akins, Jr. was born on August 18, 1956 to the parentage of Albert Clarence Sr,. and Lillie M. Hubbard Akins. Albert attended A.M. Pate Elementary and Forest Oak Middle School in Fort Worth. Albert moved on and attended high school at Frankfort American High School where he graduated. After graduation, Albert received his certification in Heating and Refrigeration.
Albert loved fishing and football. He was a huge fan of America’s Team, The Dallas Cowboys. Albert also loved the Carolina Panthers. In his spare time, he loved playing dominoes and spending time with his family and friends.
Albert was baptized at an early age at the Providence Baptist Church by his Grandfather who also was his Pastor, Rev. Dallas Hubbard. In later years, Albert joined the Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Roy Bivens.
On Thursday, November 12, Albert answered the Master’s call and entered into the Celestial Haven. Albert is preceded in death by his father, Albert, Sr.; brother, Ronald Keith Akins and sister, Janie Delores Barnes. Those left to cherish the memories that will burn a flame until that great reunion; his mother, Lillie M. Newton; four sisters, Brenda Akins, Sandra Young, Carolyn Weatherall, Sheila Sanders (Darryl); brother, Clarence Newton, Jr (Patrice); aunt, Ida Beene and Lester Beene of Fort Worth; uncle, Riley Akins(Daphenne); step grandmother, Curtis Mae Akins; and a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
