Andrew James Kennedy, 65, passed away on June 14, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on September 25, 1959, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to James Rhodes Kennedy and Jean Walker, who preceded him in death.
Andrew is survived by his children: Andrew James Kennedy Jr., Cherie Ann Bazzell, Matthew Ray Kennedy, and Savannah Kennedy Hemnes, along with eight grandchildren who knew him in many different ways.
Andrew’s life was complex. He was a man who worked hard and took pride in providing for his family, even when life was difficult. He made many mistakes, and those choices left lasting impacts—but in his own way, he also taught his children important lessons about life, choices, and consequences. Through it all, he remained a part of their story.
He will be laid to rest at Laurel Land Cemetery on July 14th, 2025 at 10:00AM.
While Andrew’s legacy is not without pain, his family remembers him with a mix of reflection and respect for the role he played in their lives. He leaves behind lessons—some in example, and some in warning—and the hope that future generations will grow wiser because of them.
