Angeline was born on August 9, 1925, to Frank Arteaga and Mary Santiago Arteaga. She was the oldest of 10 children. Throughout her youth, she worked numerous jobs before marrying and making caring for her family her greatest priority.
Angeline was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved being outdoors, tending to her yard and garden, and taking pride in the beauty she created around her home. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her loving heart and unconditional love. She was also an incredibly strong woman, a strength she demonstrated especially during the challenges she faced at the end of her life.
Angeline's Catholic faith was an important part of who she was. She prayed the rosary every day for all of her loved ones, always keeping her family close in her heart. She dearly loved her children and extended family and wanted nothing but the best for each of them. She was especially proud of her granddaughter Kirstin and her accomplishments with Pentatonix and on Broadway.
Angeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Tuno Maldonado; her sisters, Margaret Mercado, Irene Trujillo, and Sally DeLaCruz; and her brothers, Richard Arteaga and Louis Arteaga.
She is survived by her daughter, Angelica Maldonado; granddaughter, Kirstin Maldonado, and her husband, Ben Hausdorff; great-grandchildren, Elliana and Theo Hausdorff; son, Richard Maldonado, and his wife, Yamilet; sisters, Beatrice Perez and Alice Trujillo; brothers, Mario Arteaga and Jimmy Arteaga; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Angeline leaves behind a lifetime of love, faith, laughter, and memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
