Born December 6, 1937, in Fort Worth, she graduated from Paschal High School. She received bachelors and master’s degree from University of Missouri and taught elementary special education for 15 years. She received bachelors and master’s degrees in English from Texas Christian University and the University of Texas at Arlington. She was an adjunct English professor, first at Weatherford College and then Tarrant County College for 16 years.
She was a published writer, artist, and musician. A cradle traditional Episcopalian, she sang in the choir for 55 years. She had a lifelong love of nature, and was a 40- year member of the Scottish Clans of North Texas. She was a member of the forest park carter blood care council, and had donated 13 gallons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Randolph Chambers and Annie Ruth Smith Chambers.
She is survived by; Cousins and friends.
