Anna Marie Allen

It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Marie Allen announces her passing on September 12, 2021, at her home in Fort Worth Texas. Anna lived a long and venerable life and was 73 years when the deterioration of her health overtook her.

Anna was born on November 01, 1947, in Munich, Germany. Her parents were Andrew Owens and Delia Rose. She was one of two children: Andrewnette Bell.

She married James Allen Sr. on April 15, 1970, and they spent 51 years together until his death in September 2021. They had two children: James Allen Jr. and Kisa Allen.

Anna was a hard worker and was role model to her family. Besides being a wife and mother, she worked as a teacher for Syracuse City School in Syracuse, New York and Fort Worth ISD in Fort Worth, Texas for 36 years before retiring in June of 2006. She also played the piano for Bethel Baptist Church in Crockett, Texas while in her adolescent years.

She enjoyed traveling, music, reading , and on an occasion going to the casino. She enjoyed many family trips to both the West and East Coast. She was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc..

She was a deeply rooted in the Christian life and enjoyed memberships at Bethel Baptist Church and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church during her lifetime. She was generous to anyone in need and loved being around family and friends for dinners. She always wore the best shoes, which is why she believe in putting your best foot forward. She believed one should look their best to honor God and to thank Him for His blessings. As her health deteriorated her deepest regret was not being able to go to church on Sundays.

She is survived by her husband James Sr. (Ronny), her son James Jr. (Little James), and her daughter Kisa Allen (Lil Susie), her sister Andrewnette Bell (Net), her grandchildren - Talia and Lynden Allen, and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Anna Allen was and is loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Anna will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
