Pops passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. We miss him deeply, but we take comfort knowing he is at peace and home with the Lord.
Pops was born on July 11, 1940, in Rosebud, Texas. That’s where he met Amelia, or “Momo,” the love of his life. They were married for 64 years and never stopped choosing each other. They built a life around faith, family, and showing up for others whenever they were needed.
Pops was a husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-great-grandpa, and he took every one of those roles seriously. He was also the person people turned to for advice. If something needed fixing, figuring out, or just thinking through, many would say, “Let me ask Pops.”
He is survived by his wife, Amelia “Momo” Rodriguez; his children: Antonio Rodriguez Jr., David and Becky Zepeda, Gilbert and Tania Rodriguez, and Patrick and Claudia Rodriguez. Pops also leaves behind eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Those who knew Pops best will remember him as a fixer and a doer—a man who could tinker with just about anything and think his way through any problem. He had a calm presence that made things feel manageable and a wisdom that reassured you everything would be okay. More than anything, Pops will be remembered for the faith he lived out daily and the love he gave so freely to his family.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
