After leaving school in Hubbard he went to Aircraft Training school in Dallas. Upon graduation he was sent to San Diego, Ca. to work at Consolidated Aircraft. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was sent to the European theater where he stayed until the conclusion of the war. His company was some of the first to enter and occupy Berlin. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and other campaigns.
After the war Bob and his family moved to Ft. Worth. In time, he opened BOB'S AUTO SUPPLY and was successful for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ft.Worth, Tx for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of more than 60 years Wanda Horn Hickingbotham.
He is survived by a loving family who will miss him greatly.
