Barbara was born May 23, 1937, in Ballinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Weldon Bowen; brother, Richard Lee Bowen.
Survivors: Son, Jay Armistead; daughters, Tamra Sawyer, Stephanie Denny and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Lindsay Armistead, Lauren Denny, Caden Denny, Trent Denny and Addyson Armistead; brother, W. L. Bowen and wife, Sharon.
