Our beloved father Benjamin Defoe Bennett passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 at the age of 75 in North Richland Hills, Tx. He is survived by Angela Bennett (Daughter), Melissa Gattis (Daughter), Benjamin Bennett (Son), Linda Stinson Patterson (Partner), Earl Bennett (Brother), and Donna Manning (Sister), 8 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.
Benjamin was born in Port Huron, Michigan on April 17, 1950 to Benjamin and Edna Bennett. His childhood in Port Huron instilled a lifelong passion for sports. He was a star athlete at Port Huron High School. After high school he married Marianne Branch and enlisted in the Marine Corps and proudly fought for our country in the Vietnam War. Ben was a successful business man in the automotive industry. He owned several Midas Muffler shops and became close friends with many of his coworkers. One of his favorite hobbies was to go fishing in both salt water and fresh water. He enjoyed playing golf and watching it regularly on TV.
The memorial service will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel on December 12, 2025 at 10am. All friends and family are welcome.
