Bess loved to sing, cook, create, and spend time with her family. She could always find the good in any situation and had such a joy for life. Her favorite saying was, “Just keep pushing.”
Bess was born February 5,1931 in Harvey, Illinois to Joseph and Sallie Kellogg. She grew up with tons of love and family. Bess sang in many church choirs, was a beautician, and ultimately a stay at home mom.
Bess and Donald Hobbs were married for over 42 years. In Donald she found a life partner with whom she could experience the wonders of this world with, both at home and abroad.
Bess is survived by her daughter, Dianne Hobbs (Par), sons Donald Hobbs (Janey), and Michael Hobbs (Laura), Grandchildren Ebonee Lee (Rodney), Maggie Keller, Daniel Hobbs (Dylana), Angela Hobbs (Alex), Alexa Hobbs, Scott Hobbs, Chantal Hobbs, Rodney Jacob Lee, Penelope Lee, Roman Lee, Samuel Landaverde, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bess is preceded in death by her husband Donald Hobbs, daughter Constance, her father and mother Joseph and Sallie Kellogg, and sister Jeanette King.
A visitation for Bess will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.
