Betty Land Carroll

She was born in Rodessa, La. on November 12, 1927, and raised in Louisiana where she graduated high school.

Betty achieved a bachelor degree in business from LSU. On Nov. 4, 1950, Betty married Hardy B. Carroll, Jr., who remained her husband until his death in 2014.Their loving relationship of 63 years remained as strong as the day they married. Betty and H.B. moved the family to Fort Worth in 1964 where they remained throughout life.Along with raising their two sons, Betty was very active in the community.As an active member of The Woman's Club of Fort Worth and volunteer docent for Thistle Hill, her presentation skills and likeable personality was shared with many. Gatherings of family and friends were special occasions with entertainment and personal attention provided by Betty.Betty's positive attitude and loveable personality brought happiness to all that knew her.

She will be greatly missed. Betty was preceded in death by husband H.B., and siblings Willard, Reba, Ann, and Billy.

Service and burial with her husband will be held in Haughton, La. at a later date.

Survivors: Sons, Barry and wife, Harriet, and Glenn; grandchildren, Cody, Travis, Charlotte, Blake and Dylan.
